MY Okkie Jooste experience

when we arrived at the camp site, you could smell the fresh air and hear the serenity of the fresh water steams put your mind to ease and this is when you know you at one with nature. once our bags we unpacked we were told to find a dorm to stay in for the following three nights. 

once we were all settled in our dorms, we would hear a whistle that would become all to familiar to us as camp progressed.   we  all congregated in this "Scout hall" where we were assigned groups, namely Red, Blue and Green. also we were given a schedule for activities, lunch time and kitchen duty. 

The plant diversity at Okkie Jooste is amazing ranging from little flowers to tall trees. the wildlife is also amazing, even though we did not see much we were able to set traps for rodents to determine diversity in the area.

The bonds this camp has created between us all as a class will never be forgotten. We've created so much memories on this camp, especially talent show night, where we found out the talents people had, ranging from singing to stand-up comedy. 

The Okkie Jooste camp of 2016 will never be forgotten.
